‘Lurkers’ From a 2017 project focussing on mental health
“As I tread the snowy path along the silent pines, the air crisp with winter's bite, I feel them—the shadowy figures skulking at the edges. Like dark little monsters, they lurk just behind the trees, peering out with eyes that gleam with malice and despair. Their whispers slither through the stillness, a cruel chorus of doubts and fears that claw. The snow muffles my steps, but I cannot escape their presence, their shadows stretching long and inescapable across the pristine white. Each glance over my shoulder reveals nothing, yet their weight presses heavy, a constant reminder that they are there, waiting.”
